Pre-Trip

So I’m in the house of my summer project leader. Okay, back up. So I’m a part of Campus Crusade for Christ here at Cornell and yes, I’m a Christian. haha. I’m going on a summer project to the Far East. A summer project is basically a missions trip.

I’m just really excited right now. a lot of mixed feelings haha. we had dinner with a girl who spent the last two years in the city and on the campus of the university we’re going to. She’s working there reaching out to the college students and working basically with an uniderground Christian fellowships. They can’t meet up in a large group setting because it’s basically illegal in the region but they reach out to the students through like one on one meetings and basically really through discipleship. I’m now both nervous and excited to see how things will work out in this environment where everything is different.

I’m excited to spend time with my team and to grow spiritually in God. i mean, hopefully i’ll become more mature too but i’m just excited. haha I’m bringing a baller reading lists too. lol and i need to brown back all these books including my Bible cuz i dont want to compromise our team or anyone else for that matter. haha

we leave 5:30 in the morning for JFK. If you’re a believer i hope that you’ll pray for our team, for our safety, and for the people there that God will prepare their hearts for Him.
