Campus Renewal

Campus Renewal

I’ve been a reading beast since I got back from Cornell, kind of ironic huh? I’ve blazed through two books, on my third, and reading bible and devotions everyday. And it’s only the third week since i’ve been back. if only i was this studious during the school year with my own textbooks. lol

So the first book I finished reading was Campus Renewal by Justin Christopher. I honestly recommend this book first and foremost to all my fellow leaders in COAH. I also highly recommend this to all Fellowship leaders everywhere. And of course, I also recommend this to all believers who have a passion for seeing the campus united as the body of Christ and are excited about trusting the Lord with that dream.

There’s a lot of good stuff in this book. It’s the main book published by Campus Renewal Ministries, whose goal is not to have it’s own fellowship but its mission is to unite campus ministries together as the body of Christ to transform the entire campus through the gospel. They work with churches and fellowships on campuses to unite them to a common vision and helps them work together towards that. I believe that this is where we as COAH should be working towards.

Lemme give you a run down of the chapters in this awesome book.

Cornell Campus Reaching defined:
“The long term, relational, and strategic process of partnering campus ministries in united prayer to build missional communities that transform the [Cornell] campus with the gospel of Jesus Christ.”
I pray that you would all join me in my last two years here at Cornell to be united in one body of Christ, the church at Cornell, to pray and move faithfully to transform our beautiful campus with the even more beautiful and glorifying truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Yes! A good book indeed. I’m so glad you recommended it to me too because it definitely gave me a grander vision of what God is about to do at the University of Illinois. Just half way done but it gave me clearer direction of what we’re to do next especially after this incredible semester. I’m so pumped for my next two years too 🙂 For you students at Cornell reading this, God is incredibly loving your campus! So don’t just sit on the sidelines and watch your campus be touched by God but be part of the action!
