So Freaking Pumped

Dude, I dont know what to say man. I can barely breathe. I’m so freaking pumped and excited for this semester. God is going to move in amazing ways. Last semester…kind of a freaking pancake fail. Or maybe I can say that last semester was kind of a set up to this semester. But I definitely wasn’t this pumped last semester. So a couple of things have been happening in these first two weeks at Cornell.

prayer meetings. since I’ve gotten back a couple of us who went to Ignite Ivy wanted to come together to pray together once a week and we’ve only had two meetings so far but they’ve been amazing. There really is no agenda and I dont know what the goal is other than to glorify God and to see His will done at Cornell. We just went around and said our names and then gave some praises and prayer requests. It was really good being able to go around and share some praises. I heard that some ppl at a KCCE sunday service dedicated themselves to long term mission work. Praise the Lord! AAIV and KCCU also just came back from a retreat and I’m praying that they came back freakin psyched out of their minds for what God’s going to do on campus. CBS and KCCE had their retreat before school started, so praise God for that. The Greek IV started up last semester and its a praise to know that three of our Freshmen Cru girls pledged and are going in together. I’ll be praying that they keep each other accountable and will have support to stay strong in their faith. The prayer meetings have also been growing in numbers. This week will be the real test i guess because it’s superbowl sunday, but i will be there nonetheless. I’m praying for greater and more miraculous things. Our God is great and mighty to be praised and I believe that, now I gotta act on it.

community groups. We just started our community group meeting tonight and it was kinda unorganized but it was pretty interesting and good. So larry bought the Reason for God and the gospel and life DVD series. We had three non christians come and we want our community groups to be a place that isn’t exclusive but welcoming to anyone. We would also like people, no matter where they’re at in this journey, to take some significant steps forward. Hopefully the Christians in our group would be more intentional and mission minded as they interact more and more with non christians in the group and also be able to grow more in our faith and to know that what we believe in is actually worth dying for. It is truth. And I would love to see the non christians be able to work out and talk about some of the things that hold them back from being God’s one and only. I would like this to be a safe talking atmosphere where people can talk about their thoughts. I’m praying that my community group grows like a wildfire, with a real fire for the Lord and that it spreads and burns everything in its path.  If you wanna check it out lemme know.

talking to some people. sometimes I just get pretty excited talking to some people. I’m a big idea/vision person. If you can get me hooked on something, i’ll run pretty hard with it. But the idea’s gotta be pretty crazy and amazing, something not too easy, something that I wouldnt really come to a conclusion by myself, and is a bit crazy. And being a part of God’s will and kingdom plan is definitely up there right now. Reaching all of Cornell with God’s love is pretty crazy and a little bit out there but just crazy enough to get me interested. I love talking to people who are a little bit crazier than me and definitely have a vision. I meet up with two people right now during my time at Cornell. One is the head staff for Cru at Cornell, JW, and the other is a staff for YoungLife high school ministries in Ithaca. Both of these guys have pushed my faith and my relationship with God to different levels. I’m definitely very grateful for them and am blessed every time that I talk to them. Also talking to other christians on campus about reaching the campus and seeing God glorified and talking about how awesome and beautiful Jesus is also pumps me up. Hearing from them about what God’s doing in their lives gets me mad happy. haha.

God is so good and I’m giving Him all the creds, the praise, the finger snappin, feet stompin, and anything else I can think of haha

God’s continually doing amazing things and revealing himself to me more and more and bit by bit. I want Him to hit this freakin campus like the snowstorm we’re always supposed to get. I want God’s love to flood this place like it’s never seen before. I wanna see people giving hugs in the streets just cuz they love God and each other.
